Your child's classes, absences and make-ups

Your child's week is the classes they hold a seat in. “Upcoming classes” lists each one once, with the next date it falls on — not every date, just the next. What happened at those classes is a separate, read-only list: “Attendance” shows the recent marks for all your children, and the verdict there is the coach's. A day the school was told about in advance reads “away” rather than “absent”.

How a credit appears

The register decides what you are owed, not the heads-up. Being marked absent and being away both earn one class back at most schools, though a school can choose to count only the days it was warned about. The number is never stored anywhere: it is the absences inside a rolling window, 30 days unless your school changed it, minus every make-up already attended, booked or waiting. So an absence quietly stops being worth anything the day it drops out of that window, and cancelling a booking puts its credit straight back.

Booking one back

1. 1Open “Book Makeup” on the website, or follow the link the school messaged you, which lands on the right child.
2. 2Read the count, then the “Scheduled make-ups” list under it: a make-up the office already booked has spent its credit, so zero can still mean your child is expected somewhere.
3. 3Press “Schedule a make-up”.
4. 4Set “Class” yourself. The list is the school's whole timetable in day order and it opens on the first class in it, which is rarely your child's.
5. 5Pick “Date”. Only future dates of the class you chose are offered.
6. 6Use “Add another class” if you hold more than one credit, then press “Schedule”.

When the school cancels a class

Sometimes it is the school that cannot make it. When a class is called off you receive a message with the reason, the session shows as “Cancelled by the school” on your schedule, no reminder is sent for it, and a make-up credit is added for your child straight away — before the date — so you can book a replacement class from the make-ups page.

What the coaches wrote down

“Progress history” sits in the app under “Account”, on your child's page, and on the website's “My Family” page: “Current skills” with a figure each, then every assessment a coach has logged, newest first, with their notes. It is yours to read, never to edit, and it exists only once a coach writes something. Nothing announces a new entry, so it is worth opening now and then rather than waiting to be told.
