Marking a day's classes, what the scanner writes that the register does not, and the sweep that finishes a half-marked register for you twelve hours later.
Written for school owners and admins, front desk, coaches
The desk works a day at a time: pick the day, open a class, tap a verdict beside each name. Nothing is a draft — every tap saves on its own, and a mark can be changed later but never blanked. Past days can be fixed; a day that has not happened yet cannot be marked at all.
Marking a class
1Open “Attendance”. It lands on “Today”; the arrows step one day at a time and “Back to today” returns.
2Only classes falling on that weekday are listed, and one whose term starts later is not listed at all.
3Open a class and tap one pill per student: “present”, “late”, “absent”, “away” or “makeup”.
4A dimmed name with no pills is a student whose cover starts later — the seat exists from the day the term was sold, and counts in neither half of the header count.
5Make-up students sit in a group below the class: “Add make-up student” for one who walks in, “Mark arrived” for one the office booked. Neither adds them to the class.
The check-in scanner
“Barcode check-in” sits under the day's classes, and only while that day is today. Every scan writes “present”, the only verdict it can write, and a re-scan updates today's record rather than adding a second. The class list beside the code box calls itself optional and is the field you must not skip: left on “No specific class” the record belongs to no class, so that register still reads as unmarked and the sweep can still mark the student absent.
Fourteen days free. No card, no contract, and we move your data over with you. If it is not doing the work by the end of the trial, you walk away and nothing has changed.
